Over the centuries, drums have been used as means of communication in Africa and other parts of the world. In a village setting, if there were festivities or other events that needed to be announced, drums would be played. Someone would say, “Zilile Ngoma”, meaning, “Let the drums play” and the drums would be played in a certain way to send a specific message to the listeners either within or outside the village.

This is the concept from which Zilile Media Inc derives its name. If the right rhythm is played on the correct drum, the right message will be communicated to the listener. If a drum is played well, the message will be easier for the listener to understand.
